#22 - Leaving Engineering for a Post-Baccalaureate Program Aimed at Medicine With Former D1 Soccer Player Taylor Barg
Show Notes

Taylor Barg is a former division 1 soccer player for SMU who went into engineering after university. She recently shifted her path toward medicine, however, by entering a post-baccalaureate program. I met Taylor when I played as a practice player my sophomore year on the women’s soccer team and as I mention in the episode, even as a younger player, she was a clear leader who brought both the energy and level of play up during games while retaining a composed mindset. That, her ability to balance an engineering degree with soccer, and her recent transition towards medicine all had me pretty excited to talk to her on the podcast. In this episode, we cover all of those topics, as well as the ways her post-bacc has been such a valuable experience, the connections built from vulnerable environments and the hope that can result from them, and on how time is going to pass regardless of what you do. I would stick around till the end of this one because Taylor has a great and motivating message. Enjoy!
